“I had dealt with two other U.S.-based family law firms on the same matter and experienced clumsy and slow management of simple procedural details. I also interviewed many firms, including three paid consultations, before settling on Hinds & Hinds. Not only did those other firms seem disorganized, they also did not have the expertise I found at Hinds & Hinds, and did not answer my questions with any sense of deep understanding. Finding Hinds & Hinds and Mr. Jensen was a godsend.
Specific to Mr. Jensen: He is a subject-matter expert in UCCJEA (the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act), as well as PKPA (the Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act), as well as their origins. […] …it was imperative to me that I find a seasoned family law attorney who not only had direct relevant experience in these areas of law, but had the backing of a larger professional law firm with resources that could be utilized should it be needed further down the road.
Mr. Jensen was a friend to me and advised me of all avenues of recourse, as well as dangers of my own position, and coached me legally on every step. He was not only well-versed in these areas of family law (not a common practice area for many family attorneys), but he was passionate about our position, held his own and then some against several troubling judges, and kept my co-parent’s attorney on their back foot for nearly all the proceedings.
In the end, his solid representation led my co-parent and her counsel to accept an agreement between both parents that the court accepted, giving me more than I had initially hoped to gain.”

“[…] As a surgeon, I hate all lawyers and I owe them nothing. In my long experience I am hostile toward any lawyer and believe lawyers’ reputations are very well deserved. Especially the divorce and custody lawyers that I’ve experienced in three states over the last 25 years. In spite of that I have been asked to provide my realistic criticism of this law firm. I told them they may not know what they are asking for.
However, on further thought I had to admit that 10 years ago this law firm permanently changed my five children’s lives for the better forever, after a long legal struggle. This firm did it again last year after we moved back to Colorado.
This firm is a product of legal wisdom and experience. Fact is, if I had to do this again I could never go to another law firm. Hinds law firm corrected erroneous custody decisions in Colorado years ago when it was impossible to do so. They did it again after I moved back from two states that had prehistoric family laws designed to protect uncaring moms instead of the welfare of your children.
I know from my research this law firm has influenced family law legislation in Colorado enough to change current Colorado law to become more enlightened and focused on the children. There are no other law firms in my three states, let alone Denver, with this kind of legacy.
And the courts know this law firm. Courts know that they will represent solid cases. Especially those that have the true interest of children involved. If you come to this outfit with BS, they will tell you.“
