Is Colorado a No-Fault Divorce State?

Yes! No-fault divorce means that there is no need for proof of wrongdoing, and either party can initiate divorce proceedings at any time. There is also a statutory waiting period of 91 days before a divorce can be finalized in the state. Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes, C.R.S. 14-10-106 (1)(a)(III), this waiting period occurs from the date of either a joint filing, or service on the responding party, before finalizing your divorce.
